Mold Season
Hi Folks,
I live near Phila. Pa. and I am really suffering with mold allergies now.
Is there a mold season like there is for tree pollen and such?
Looking for the end of this suffering,
Kevin B.
Dear Kevin,
Thanks for asking about mold allergy seasons.
Allergy symptoms from mold aeroallergens may end with the first really hard
frost.
A good way to follow the mold season is to watch the dew points which are a
measure of water vapor and thus mold spores.
Sorry, but molds can live inside as well.
The mold allergy season is different for each patient, but generally it
runs from May through October in your region of the U.S.
Hope this info helps you. Good luck.
Steve Kagen, M.D.
